Intelligent Cloud Plus (ICP) was founded in 2017, bringing together a team of seasoned power system experts at its core.
ICP is built around a core team of seasoned power system experts, forming a strong technical foundation focused on the application of the international smart grid standard IEC 61850. In 2019, we obtained Taiwan’s first IEC 61850 certificate, successfully entering the Taipower market and becoming one of its key technology partners.

Starting from substation automation, ICP has progressively expanded into data flow automation, operation centers, asset management, data analytics, and dispatch communication integration, advancing the intelligence and efficiency of power systems. As its technologies evolved, ICP extended into the renewable energy sector, covering energy storage, EV charging, solar power, offshore wind, and renewable energy trading. In response to energy transition and carbon reduction goals, ICP launched the iVP, integrating AI and energy management technologies to deliver one-stop virtual power plant solutions. This empowers enterprises to evolve from energy saving to energy creation, storage, and trading, building a resilient and competitive sustainable energy strategy.

Lawton Liao
Mr. Lawton, a graduate of National Taiwan Normal University’s Department of Electronic Engineering, has a background in ICT and specializes in smart grids and virtual power plants, applying AI technologies to enhance energy management efficiency. Founded in 2017, ICP has grown from a five-member startup into a team of over one hundred employees. Under Mr. Lawton’s leadership, the company has actively advanced renewable energy and smart grid development, successfully entering the Taipower supplier network and delivering large-scale projects, including offshore wind initiatives. With a proven track record of over one hundred successful projects and continuously rising revenues, ICP has become a rising star in the renewable energy industry.

January
The first team in Taiwan to obtain IEC 61850-10 Server certificate in Taiwan.
In 2019, ICP earned Taiwan’s first IEC 61850 technical certification, successfully entering the Taipower supply network and becoming one of its key technology partners.
