ICP’s iVPP Accelerates Taiwan’s Energy Transition Toward Sustainability
With the rapid development of industry, AI technologies, semiconductor applications, and the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and data centers, global electricity demand continues to surge. Merely changing power generation methods is no longer sufficient to meet current needs—driving a comprehensive energy transformation across existing power grids has become imperative.Over the past few years, CloudLink Networks has assisted Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) in designing and implementing 33 smart substations. In the offshore wind power sector, CloudLink is also the only company in Taiwan capable of integrating all complex systems, including onshore substations, central control systems, and cybersecurity infrastructure. This positions CloudLink with the expertise to identify challenges, propose solutions, and drive innovation in corporate energy transitions. As a result, Lawton Liao, General Manager of CloudLink Networks, was recently invited to speak at the 5th ESG Sustainable Taiwan International Summit, alongside Taiwan Stock Exchange Chairman Lin Hsiu-Ming and Taiwan Local Revitalization Foundation Chairperson Chen Mei-Ling. He shared CloudLink’s innovations and practical achievements in the field of energy IoT.
